Atlas received its first order for a batch asphalt mixing plant for Oman. This is a 260 tph machine to be offered to one of the key infrastructure players in the country of Oman. The presence of Atlas asphalt plants is well acclaimed by the installation of a drum mixer machine to another customer in Oman a few years ago.
We want to offer our best to customers and as a result of which we strive hard to meet and exceed customer’s expectations. This is a well-made 260 tph asphalt batch plant which is designed to deliver quality hot mix asphalt. The plant will be assembled at the site, meaning that it will be delivered as modular structured from our factory in India. Our factory caters to quality construction equipment and delivering the same to our esteemed customers worldwide. Our range of asphalt batching plants is from 60-80 tph, 100 tph, 120 tph, 160 tph, 180 tph, 200 tph, 260 tph and above. Each product is crafted with care and precision to deliver the quality mix material.
Understanding the customer’s requirement is very important and hence before securing the order we had met the customer differently in two different occasions. We got to know their requirement in details before securing the order. The more we understand the customer, the better it is for us. This helps us to secure the order and prepare the order as per their requirements.

260 tph asphalt batch mix plant in Oman: Key components
The 260 tph asphalt mixing plant for Oman is crafted and manufactured as per the requirement of the customer. We take immense pride in understanding and delivering to the customers as per their requirement. We understood their requirement in details to such a point that the width of the asphalt discharge point below the mixer is also set as per the end user’s requirement. The main components offered with this machine are as below:
- Cold aggregate feeder bins: The plant is offered with a 5 bin feeder each bin having 12 m3 capacity. Each of the bin has a safety mesh along with a steel ramp for aggregate feeding. this helps to reduce the civil work cost at the site.
- Single deck vibrating screen: This is for over size aggregate removal. This unit will be covered to minimise the dust emission as the aggregates move towards the drum unit.
- Slinger conveyor: A fully covered slinger conveyor is supplied in this plant. the covers as removable for inspection and maintenance.
- Drying drum: Drying drum offered is with Diesel + LPG burner. There are friction wheel drives offered for the drum’s smooth rotation. Care has been taken to ensure that the drum is maintenance free and offers best possible moisture removal.
- Burner unit: Highly efficient and air automized burner offers superior and best mixing result. We boast of our highly efficient burner system which is not only maintenance free but also easy on pocket at the time of spares replacement. We understood the gas specifications and inlet value and delivered the burner accordingly.
- Hot elevator unit: The hot aggregate elevator will take the aggregates to the vibrating unit on top of the mixer.
- The five deck screening unit is with insulated doors and with easy screen replacement mechanism.
- Jib crane: Jib crane is offered to help with the easy maintenance procedure of vibrating screen and hot bucket elevator.
- Hot bins sit below the screening unit. It is offered with high and low level indicators for the 5 storage bins. It is fully insulated to reduce heat loss.
- Mixing unit: Twin shaft mixer is fully jacketed with a mixing capacity of 3500 kgs. per batch.
- Bag filter: For pollution control the bag filter with reverse air flow mechanism does its job well. It is equipped with a dust conditioner.
- There are a total of 5 bitumen tanks provided with the plant. Each plant holds capacity of 50 tons of bitumen storage. There are two tanks which have agitators for use of PMB.
- Thermic oil heater: A heavy unit of 700,000 kCal capacity thermic oil heater is provided with the plant. Equipped with a burner that can use diesel as well as LPG.
- Fuel tank: Capacity 35,000 liters fuel tank is provided for storage of diesel fuel for the drum burner.
- Filler elevator: For the addition of filler material, a 30 m3 capacity filler silo with bucket elevator is provided.
- RAP addition: Option to add cold RAP into the mixer is available with this plant. There is a provision for addition of cold RAP into the asphalt batch mixer through the mixing unit of the plant.
- SMA addition: Provision for addition of SMA through a pneumatic additive system is included in the plant.
- Control cabin with control panel: PLC control panel in this plant is equipped and it allows for easy operation of the plant. All relevant production data is available for printout.
Customer visit for inspection of the 260 tph batch asphalt mixing plant for Oman
As the plant was ready for inspection, we invite the customer for inspection to our factory. The inspection was carried over a period of 2 days. One day for allotted for understanding the control panel and the other day was allotted for understanding the mechanical components. We also got to discuss the plant layout in details during the visit at our factory in Mehsana, India.
They have checked each and every point of the offered batch asphalt plant as per the offered specifications. The photos of the customer carrying out the inspection at our manufacturing factory is in the video above. The customer is satisfied with the plant and they have suggested us a few minor changes in some components. Atlas has reviewed the points and have agreed to make the changes in the plant.
